G V Engineering Industries

You can find us at No 26 on Alamelumangai Street in Jaya Nagar. We are part of the Lic Colony near the KK Nagar Post, so it’s a fairly well-known spot in the area. G V Engineering Industries is a place where we focus on the mechanical side of things. It’s a workshop where we’ve got a couple of lathes and some other equipment that keeps us busy. The place isn’t anything special to look at, just a sturdy building with a lot of iron and steel inside. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot, and the first thing we do is get the machines warmed up. There’s a certain smell to the place—oil, metal, and old rags—that you just get used to after a while. We don’t have a marketing department or a sales team. Usually, people just come by because they heard we can fix something or make a part they need. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. Our day is mostly about measuring things, cutting metal, and making sure the machines don’t break down. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back, chatting with the people passing by on the street. It’s a slow but steady way of life, and we are quite content with how things are running in our small corner of Jaya Nagar.
