G E Clinic & Endoscopy Centre

G E Clinic & Endoscopy Centre is in the Sampoorna Building, which is No 73 on L B Road. We are in Thiruvanmiyur, very close to the Thiruvanmiyur Signal. If you have ever been stuck at that signal, you know exactly where we are. L B Road is always packed with bikes and cars, especially in the mornings. The Sampoorna Building is a familiar sight for people in this part of Chennai. I usually take the stairs up to the clinic because waiting for the lift can be a bit of a gamble. The space inside is dedicated to endoscopy and general clinic work. It is a bit more specialized than a general hospital. I spend my time making sure the equipment is ready and the paperwork is in order. The waiting room isn't huge, but we have enough chairs for everyone. The air conditioning is usually cranked up pretty high because it gets so hot outside. You can hear the faint sound of traffic even from inside, but it’s mostly drowned out by the hum of the machines. We see a lot of people coming in for tests. They usually look a bit nervous, so I try to just be a normal person and talk to them. It is a busy little place but we have a system that works. I usually head out toward the signal once my shift is finally over.
