Freelancer

The office is at House B, Plot No 37 in R G Nagar. It’s on 3rd Street in Jaladampet, Pallikaranai. This part of Chennai is growing fast, but our street is still pretty quiet most of the time. I set up Freelancer here because I live nearby and it was easy to get started. It’s a small house that we’ve basically converted into a workspace. It isn't fancy at all. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is a bit mismatched, but it’s comfortable enough for what we do. We have a couple of computers and a printer that occasionally acts up when we need it most. It’s just me and two other guys working here. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy speeches about what we do. We just show up in the morning, check what needs to be done, and get to it. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It is a very grounded way of working. We know the people on the street and the shopkeepers nearby. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood rather than just some business sitting in a building. We just do our work, pay our bills, and try to keep things as simple as possible. It is a bit cramped, but we make it work.
