We’ve been here at K6 in Phase 2 for a good while now. Sipcot Industrial Estate is always busy, especially along Katrambakkam Main Road. You see the same faces every morning when the tea stall opens. Our shed isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get the engineering work done. Most days start early because the heat gets a bit much by noon. We mostly handle the usual orders that come through. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes deliveries a bit of a headache, but we manage. People know where to find us if they need something fabricated or checked. It's mostly just a few of us here keeping things moving. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. We just look at the drawings and get to it. The machinery needs a lot of looking after, so that takes up a chunk of the morning usually. Lately, the rains have made the road a bit messy, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We keep the doors open and try to stay on top of the pile of work on the desk. It’s quiet enough in the evenings when the other units start closing up. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing the jobs as they come in. If you walk past the big gate, you’ll probably hear the noise of the drills. That’s just us doing our bit. It is honest work.
