Elakya Food Products

If you go down N.T. Patel Road in Nerkundram, you will find us at number 25. Elakya Food Products is just a small local setup near the Koyambedu area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people moving around all day. We have been here long enough that the noise doesn't bother us anymore. We just focus on the work inside. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we walk or bike to the shop. We started this because we needed a way to make a living and we knew how to handle food products. It is not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time cleaning, sorting, and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the machines act up or a delivery is late, and we just have to figure it out as we go. We don't have a big manual for everything. We just use our common sense. It is a family-run kind of place even if not everyone is related by blood. We treat each other okay and get the work done. Being in Koyambedu keeps us on our toes because everything moves so fast around here. We just try to keep up and do our bit. It’s a simple business, nothing too complicated. We are just glad to have a spot on N.T. Patel Road to call our own. We keep things moving and stay busy every single day.
