Doohm (Digital Out Of Home Media)

You can find us at Suriya Towers, right on Choolaimedu High Road. If you know that area, you know how much traffic there is. It’s always buzzing with people and bikes, which is actually good for what we do at Doohm. We deal with digital screens, the kind you see outside when you’re stuck in a rickshaw. Our office in No: 223/1-L is nothing fancy. It’s a bunch of computers and people checking if the servers are running okay. We spend a lot of time looking at weather reports because heavy rain can mess with the outdoor screens. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we all just sit around waiting for a file to upload. It’s a small team here in Choolaimedu. We aren’t some big corporate group with thousands of employees; we’re just a few people who figured out how to get ads onto those bright screens. The building itself is busy, and we often have to wait for the elevator. We don’t really do big meetings with fancy catering. Usually, it’s just us having some tea from the shop downstairs while we talk about which screen needs a repair. It’s a bit of a grind, especially when it’s hot outside, but we managed to make it work. We’ve been in this tower for a while now and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the road and the local street life. It is what it is, and it works for us.
