Inside, we keep things pretty basic. There are desks pushed together, plenty of power strips, and a cooling system that works hard to beat the Chennai humidity. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; it’s just a place where we come to get our consulting tasks done. We usually have a lot of banter going on between the rows of desks while we work through our spreadsheets or emails. Lunch is usually a quick affair, often something brought from home or grabbed from one of the many little places in Shanti Colony. The office has that lived-in feel, with papers stacked here and there and jackets hanging on the backs of chairs. We’re just regular people trying to do a good job and get home before the evening traffic gets too bad. It’s a functional spot in a great part of the city, and it works well for what we need to do every day. We don't make a big deal out of it.
