We are based in Chennai, over in Tamil Nadu with the 609 002 zip code. Degrees And Miles is the name on the door. It is a bit of a strange name maybe, but it fits what we do. We handle things related to travel and maybe some education stuff too. The office is in a part of Chennai that feels very lived-in. You can hear the traffic and the vendors outside most of the day. We have some maps on the wall and a lot of binders filled with information. It is not a shiny corporate office. It feels more like a home office that grew a bit too big. We have a couple of computers that have seen better days but they still work fine for what we need. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. The staff here is small, just a few of us who have been together for a while. We don't have any big mission statements. We just like helping people figure out where they are going or what they are studying next. It is practical work. Sometimes we get busy and the phones don't stop ringing. Other days it is quiet and we just catch up on filing. We take our breaks together and talk about regular things. It is just a normal place to work in Chennai for us.
