Decorum

Decorum is tucked away in Anna Nagar, specifically on the 2nd Avenue at AB-8. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. Our shop isn't massive, but we try to fit a lot into the space we have. Most days, we’re busy rearranging the shelves or checking the new stock that comes in through the back door. It’s a bit of a mix of everything here. You might find some nice curtains or a lamp, but nothing is laid out like a museum. We want people to feel okay touching things and seeing how they look. One of the windows has a bit of a rattle when the wind picks up, but we’ve learned to ignore it. The staff here consists of just a few of us who live nearby. We usually have a radio playing low in the background to keep things from being too quiet. When people walk in, we don't hover over them. We let them look around and only step in if they have a question about a price or a material. The floors are tiled and easy to sweep, which is good because the street dust finds its way in every single day. It’s a practical little spot, and we’ve been at this address long enough that the neighbors all know us by name.
