Finding us on Gandhi Road can be a little confusing because of the house numbers. We are at New No 12, which used to be Old No 16, right here in Lakshmipuram. Velachery has changed so much lately with all the new shops and the traffic getting heavier every year. Our office for Davis Langdon Seah Consulting Pvt Ltd is right in the middle of it all. Chennai weather is what it is, so we usually have the AC running if the power is stable. It’s a practical space. We have some files stacked up and the usual office stuff like printers that occasionally jam when you’re in a hurry. The staff mostly takes the bus or rides their bikes through the Velachery main road mess to get here. It’s a local operation, really. We know the tea stall guy nearby pretty well. We don’t have a big receptionist area or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will usually look up from their computer. The building itself is older, but it works for what we need. It feels like a real workplace where people are actually doing things rather than just sitting in meetings. We’ve been in this part of Tamil Nadu for a good stretch of time now. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, but we manage to keep things going. It's just how life is on Gandhi Road.
