D C S Decors

We run D C S Decors from our place at 5/46 on 116th Street in Muthamizh Nagar. It’s tucked away in Kodungaiyur here in Chennai. We’ve been doing decorations for quite some time now. It’s mostly for local events, like birthdays or small family functions. The weather in Chennai can be tough on some of our outdoor setups, so we’ve learned to be practical about what materials we use. Our storage room is packed with drapes, frames, and various bits of decor we’ve collected over the years. It’s not a fancy studio, just a working space where we prep everything before heading out to a site. My team and I usually spend our mornings loading up the truck. Sometimes the narrow streets in Kodungaiyur make it a bit of a challenge to get the bigger items out, but we make it work. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in the city. We just like doing a good job for the people in our community. Most of our work comes from neighbors telling their friends about us. It’s a lot of physical labor, climbing ladders and pinning up fabrics until things look right. We don't use high-end software to show designs; we just talk to people and figure out what they want. It feels good to see a plain space change after a few hours of work. That’s why we keep doing it. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
