Currently Not Employed

I live at New Colony in Pallikaranai, Chennai. The address is a bit funny because it’s Old No 8 but New No 19, which sometimes confuses people when they’re trying to find the place. I’m not working at the moment, so I’ve been spending a lot of time around the house and in the neighborhood. Chennai is quite hot these days, so staying indoors is probably for the best anyway. I’ve lived in this part of town for a good while and it’s a quiet residential area for the most part. Not having a job means I have to be careful with how I spend my time and money. I do some chores, maybe help out around the house, and look for opportunities when I can. It’s a bit of a slow life compared to when I was busy all the time. Pallikaranai is growing fast though, so there’s always new shops or houses popping up nearby. I like the peace here in New Colony. It gives me a chance to think about what I really want to do next instead of just rushing into the first thing that comes along. It gives me time to relax and maybe think about life more than I used to. Some days are a bit boring, I’ll admit that, but I’m just trying to stay patient.
