Ctte College For Women is located at No:843 Poonamelle High Road in Arumbakkam. If you’re familiar with Chennai, you know this road is almost always packed with vehicles. We are right near D.G.Vaishnav College and the SBI Officers Colony. It’s a very specific spot in the 600106 area. The college has been part of this landscape for quite some time. The women come here from all over the city, often braving the heat and the bus rides. The gates are big and there’s usually someone standing there to watch the traffic. Inside, it’s a bit of a different world compared to the busy high road outside. We have some trees and the buildings feel solid and old. It’s not a place for flashy displays. We just have classrooms, offices, and a lot of students trying to get their degrees. The staff works out of small rooms and we spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff. You might find some of us complaining about the humidity or the noise from the road, but we stay anyway. It’s a local institution. We don’t have a corporate office somewhere else; we are right here on the ground. Being in Tamil Nadu, we follow the local rhythms. It’s just a place for learning, nothing complicated about it. We see the seasons change from these windows every single year.
