We’ve been tucked away here on the second floor of Bharathi Nagar in T. Nagar for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, especially being on 4th Street. You know how T. Nagar gets with all the people and the traffic outside, but once you climb up those stairs to our office, things quiet down a bit. We spend most of our days handling leather and making sure things are moving along like they should. There’s usually a lot of scrap pieces lying around and the smell of the material is pretty strong when you first walk in. We aren't a big flashy company with a glass front. It’s just us, a few desks, and a lot of work that needs doing. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break, but mostly we’re focused on the orders. It gets a little cramped when a new shipment arrives because the space isn't huge, but we manage. My desk is usually covered in papers and samples. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Tuesdays, it feels like a bit of a losing battle. It’s just how it goes when you’re actually working. We’ve known the neighbors for years and it feels like a proper community around here. It’s nothing fancy, just a plain workplace where we get through our list every day and head home when the sun goes down. Most days we are too busy to even look out the window.
