Our place is on 26 Kannia Koil Street in Cuddalore. It’s a small town, and things move a bit slower here, which we don't mind at all. The building is an old one, right on the street. We see the same people walking by every morning on their way to the temple or the shops. It’s quite hot most of the year, so we keep the windows shut and the fans on high. Our office isn't much to look at. We have some basic wooden desks and a lot of files piled up in the corners. We don't really have a waiting room; if someone comes by, they just pull up a plastic chair and sit with us. We handle a lot of local stuff, and everyone knows everyone else around here. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. We don't have fancy computers or high-speed everything. We just do what we can with what we have. It’s a very basic way of working, but it’s how things have always been for us. Kannia Koil Street is our home, and we’re just here doing our bit every day. We usually close up early on Saturdays to spend time with family, which is just the way it should be in a town like this.
