You can find Cholan Engineering Company at New No. 8-10 on Malayappan Street in Mannady. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history and very narrow streets. If you’re driving, it can be a bit of a challenge to get through, but we’ve managed it for years. The building is listed as 63-64/1 as well, which sometimes confuses the delivery drivers. We have been here on Malayappan Street for a long time. It’s a busy place with lots of small shops and people moving about. Inside our doors, it's mostly just us working on whatever projects are on the table. The walls are a bit dusty and the floors have seen better days, but it’s a solid place to work. We don't put much stock in making things look pretty for the sake of it. We’re more interested in making sure the day's work is finished correctly. Mannady is a unique area, and being right here in the thick of it keeps us grounded. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guy quite well. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a cart or a truck, and everything just stops for a minute, but that’s just how life is here. We like the pace of it. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a real workshop where things get built and fixed. We stay here because this street feels like home to us now.
