Chest Nut Storeys

If you ever find yourself on K B Dasan Road in Alwarpet, you might see our place. We are right at 57/2, directly opposite the Hdfc Bank. It’s a busy part of Chennai, and finding a place to park your bike can be a real headache some mornings. Chest Nut Storeys is basically where we spend all our daylight hours. The office has a lot of natural light coming in, which is nice, but it can get quite warm. We have a lot of samples and bits of material lying around the floor because we are always looking at different things. It’s not the neatest office you’ll ever see, but it’s how we work. We know the security guards at the bank across the street and the people who run the small shops nearby. Usually, we start our day around ten and stay until the work is finished. There isn't a strict clock-in time, as long as the jobs get done. Sometimes clients come by and we sit on the old chairs we have and just talk through what they need. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there to talk to you. It’s a bit informal, but it works for the kind of people we are. Alwarpet has changed a lot, but this corner feels pretty much the same as it always has. We keep some plants near the entrance to make it look a bit more lively. That's basically our setup.
