You can find us over in Velacheri, right on the 100 Feet Bypass Road. We are across from the Spencers, which makes it easier for people to find the building at No 15. The North Vijayanagar area has changed a lot lately with all the new shops. We deal with ceramics and tiles and that kind of thing. It's heavy work moving crates around all day, so the floor stays pretty dusty no matter how much we sweep. The shop isn't very large but we pack a lot into the space. We’ve been here for a while now, watching the traffic get worse every year. Usually, people coming in are looking for something specific for their house or a repair job they are doing themselves. We don't do big flashy ads or anything. Most folks just see us while they are driving by or going to the mall. It gets hot in the afternoons because of the way the sun hits the front, but we keep the fans going. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners on the stretch. Sometimes the shipments arrive late and we have to stack things on the sidewalk for a bit. It’s just how it goes in a busy city. We take things as they come and try to stay busy. It’s a lot of work but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years.
