Chandra Driving School

Chandra Driving School is located over at 7, Bharathi Nagar, right on North Usman Road in T Nagar. If you know this part of town, you know the traffic can be a real headache. We have been here for a good amount of time, teaching people how to drive without getting too stressed out by all the buses and pedestrians. The office is a simple room with a desk where we keep all the learner's permit forms and a big logbook for the schedules. Most of the day, we are out in the cars, which aren't brand new but they work fine and have the extra pedals on our side just in case. We see all kinds of people, from teenagers who are excited to get their license to older people who have been walking or taking the bus their whole lives. Learning to handle the clutch is usually the hardest part for everyone, and we have spent plenty of hours just sitting in the passenger seat while someone stalls the engine in the middle of a turn. We just tell them to start it back up and try again. T Nagar is always loud and busy, so it is a tough place to learn, but we think it makes for better drivers in the end. The chairs in our waiting area are a bit worn out from all the people who have sat there over the years, but they are comfortable enough. It is just us and the road.
