Cafe Clock

If you find yourself on Thirveedian Street in Gopalapuram, you'll see us at number 21/36. We’ve been here for a bit now, tucked away in this neighborhood. The street isn't always the quietest, but that's part of the charm of being in this area. We call ourselves Cafe Clock, and the name kind of reflects how we spend our days—just watching the time go by while we prepare things. The space inside isn't massive, but it’s enough for what we need to do. We usually start quite early to get everything ready before the sun gets too high. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. You won't find any slick marketing posters on our windows. Instead, you'll see us hanging out or working behind the counter. Gopalapuram is a good place to be, with a lot of people walking their dogs or heading to the nearby shops. We try to keep things straightforward and honest here. There's no script for how we talk to people who walk in. Sometimes we’re a bit tired after a long shift, but we’re always here. It’s just a local spot where people can see us doing our thing. It gets a little cramped when we get a delivery, but we manage to shift things around. We’ve become part of the local landscape over time. There are a few regulars who come by just to chat for a minute while they wait for their order. It keeps us going through the afternoon slump. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the doors and see who walks in. It’s a simple way to run a business.
