Bhagyalaxmi Works is located at 68, 1st Main Road in Sowcarpet. If you know this area, you know how crowded and busy it gets every single day. We’ve been part of that noise for a long time. Our shop is where we do all kinds of practical work and repairs. We don't specialize in just one tiny thing; we try to be useful for whatever comes through the door. It’s a bit of a cluttered space with tools hanging on the walls and pieces of metal or wood in the corners. We aren't decorators, we are workers. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings by the end of the day. We open up early because that’s when the work starts in Sowcarpet. Most of our customers are neighbors who have something broken or need a part made. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. You just walk in and talk to whoever is holding a wrench. It’s a simple way to run a business but it works for us. We’ve had the same sign out front for years and it’s seen better days. But inside, we’re still doing the same honest work we’ve always done. We just like fixing things and helping people out. It keeps us off the streets. Plus, we like the smell of the shop, even if it's a bit metallic.
