Bet Medical is over at number 69 in the Round Table House on Nungambakkam High Road. If you know this area, you know how hard it is to find a parking spot during the day. Our office is a mix of desks and storage for medical supplies. It’s not a showroom; it’s more of a working space where we handle orders and talk to clients on the phone. There are boxes stacked in the corner most of the time because deliveries come in almost every day. The carpet is a bit worn near the entrance where everyone walks. We have a small kettle in the back for making coffee, which is basically what keeps us going. The windows look out onto the street, so we see the traffic jams while we work. It’s a plain office with fluorescent lights that flicker sometimes if you don’t hit the switch just right. We’ve got a few people handling the accounts and others who know everything there is to know about the equipment we carry. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or expensive art for the walls. We’d rather just have a desk that doesn't wobble. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad except when it rains and the road floods. It's a straightforward place to work and we’ve been here long enough to know the neighbors and the local delivery guys who stop by.
