We are tucked away in the North Phase of the Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. It’s a huge area, and we are at 31A/11A. Working at Besto Handling System Company means we spend a lot of time thinking about how things move from one place to another. We build systems that help factories carry their loads. It isn’t glamorous work, but it’s necessary for anyone running a warehouse or a plant. The air in Ambattur is always full of the sound of machinery, and our shop is no different. We have cranes and heavy lifting gear all over the place because that’s what we deal with every day. The floors are concrete and usually have some scuff marks from moving heavy steel frames around. Our team is a mix of older guys who have seen everything and younger ones learning the ropes. We don't talk much during the shift because the noise is too loud anyway. We just use hand signals or wait for the break to catch up. When someone asks what we do, we just say we build stuff that moves other stuff. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the back with a welding mask on or checking a motor. It’s a practical business for people who need to get things moving.
