B.E Maths

B.E Maths is tucked away at No 27 Kavarai Street in the Vadapalani area of Chennai. If you are coming by bus, it is right by the Murugan Kovil Bus Stop, which is always busy. My place isn't anything special to look at, just a regular room where we handle math problems. We deal with students who find numbers a bit difficult. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans going. Sometimes the traffic noise from the main road comes inside, but we just try to focus on the notebooks. I spend most of my day sitting here with a pen and paper. I started this because I saw kids struggling with basic calculations. We don't have any big computers or fancy screens. Just a big whiteboard and some markers that usually run out of ink too fast. The chairs are a bit old but they do the job. I like being near the temple because there is always life on the street. People are constantly walking by. We open up in the morning and stay until the last student finishes their work. It’s a simple setup. If someone is late, we just wait. The street is a bit narrow, so if you bring a bike, you have to find a small spot to park it carefully. I don't promise miracles, we just sit and practice until the logic makes sense. That’s how we do things here every day for the neighborhood kids.
