Basha Bedding Work

Basha Bedding Work is located at No. 168 on Paper Mills Road in Pervallor. It’s a small shop where we spend most of our time stuffing mattresses and pillows. There is cotton fluff everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. We’ve been at this address for many years now. It’s a simple trade. We sit on the floor mostly, working with the needles and thread to get the stitching right. Paper Mills Road is a busy street, so there's always noise from the buses and bikes passing by. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. People just know us because they see us working when they walk to the market. It’s a bit of a dusty job, and our clothes are always covered in bits of fiber. We take orders for new bedding or sometimes people bring in their old mattresses to get them refilled. It takes a few days to finish a big piece. We don't have a lot of space, so finished items usually sit wrapped in plastic near the front door. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Chennai. We just do our work, talk to the neighbors, and go home. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you need to find us, just look for the shop with the piles of cotton near the entrance. Usually, the radio is playing some old songs in the background while we stitch.
