Barclaysbank Telecalling

Our small office is tucked away at 21 10 E Depot Street in Chennai. It’s a busy little area, and we’ve been here for a while doing telecalling work. The room is usually filled with the sound of voices because we spend most of our day on the phone. We talk to people about different banking things, following up on queries or checking in on accounts. It’s a lot of sitting and talking, so we try to keep the atmosphere light. The chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, which is good for people-watching when we take a break. Chennai heat can be tough, so we keep the fans going all day long. Depot Street has its own rhythm, with delivery trucks and people moving about constantly. We aren't a big branch where you’d go to open a savings account in person. We are the ones you talk to when you get a call about your credit card or a loan update. It’s straightforward work. We log in, make our calls, and try to help folks understand their options. Sometimes people are happy to hear from us, and sometimes they aren't, but that’s just the nature of the job. We just keep at it, day in and day out, right here in the heart of Tamil Nadu. It is just a regular office where we do our daily business.
