Balaji Engineering & Rubber Components

We’ve been here at 113, Erukkancheri, High Road for a while now. Most people know us as Balaji Engineering & Rubber Components, but we’re just a small group of guys working with rubber parts and some engineering stuff every day. It gets pretty loud in the shop with the machines running, and the smell of raw rubber is something you just get used to after a week or two. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just our workspace where we try to get things done. People come by when they need a specific part or just to check on an order they placed earlier. It's busy on this road, so there's always noise outside from the traffic too. We spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure the rubber fits what the customer needs for their machinery. Sometimes things take a bit longer if a machine acts up, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to make sure the components we send out are actually usable. You can find us right on the high road, usually with the doors open if the weather is okay. We keep a lot of materials stacked in the back, so it’s a bit crowded inside, but we know where everything is. If you stop by, you’ll probably see us covered in a bit of dust because we’re hands-on with the work. We're just trying to do our part here every day.
