Avj Engineering Industries

Our workshop is located at No.203 on the first floor of the New Tiny Sector within the Ambattur Industrial Estate. It is a busy part of the estate with plenty of other small industries crammed in together. Since we are on the first floor, we have to move materials up and down, which keeps us pretty active throughout the day. Avj Engineering Industries is mostly about the machines and the noise of metal being worked on. There is always a smell of machine oil in the air and the sound of something being cut or grinded. We don't have a lot of extra space, so every corner of the shop is used for parts or tools. The afternoon sun hits the windows pretty hard, making it warm inside, but we keep the fans going and stay focused on the tasks. We take on various engineering jobs as they come in, mostly small parts that require a bit of attention to detail. It is not a glamorous job, and our clothes usually have a few grease stains by the end of the shift. We have been working in Ambattur for a bit now and we like being part of this industrial community. It is a practical place where people understand the value of hard work. We don't spend much time on the phone or computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of our time is spent right at the workbench.
