Astound Consultancy

Linghi Chetty Street is one of those places in Parrys where you can’t really move fast during the day. Our place, Astound Consultancy, is in Srikrishna Mansion, number 109. It’s an old building, the kind with thick walls and high ceilings, and it feels like it’s been there forever. We are at 170 Linghichetty St, right in the middle of everything. If you are looking for us, just look for the mansion sign and head in. The area is always crowded with people moving goods and walking to the courts or the harbor. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t from around here, but once you find it, it’s easy enough. We don’t really do anything fancy with the office. It’s just desks, some chairs, and a lot of paper. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or go grab some tiffin from the local mess down the road. Most of the other shops around us have been there for decades, and we have gotten to know the neighbors quite well. It’s not the quietest spot in Chennai, but it has a lot of character. We don’t have a lot of space for waiting, so people usually just pull up a chair wherever there is a gap. It’s a very straightforward way of running things. We don’t see any reason to change it now after all this time since we are used to the rhythm of the street.
