Our office is tucked away on 3 16 Tukkaram 3rd Street in T Nagar. If you know Chennai, you know it’s always moving and shaking around here. This street is a bit smaller than the main ones but still gets its fair share of noise. We’ve been here at Ashokleylandfinance for some time, just dealing with the daily paperwork and people coming in to talk about their accounts. The 600 017 area is where we live and breathe. It’s not a big corporate glass building or anything like that, just a regular place where we sit and get things sorted. Sometimes the fans are humming and the files are stacked a bit high on the desks, but we know where everything is. It is a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't from the neighborhood, but once you find us, it is straightforward. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going during the afternoon heat. People come by with all sorts of questions about money and loans, and we try to give them a straight answer without any fluff. It is just us working here, trying to keep the books balanced. We aren't big on fancy websites or big speeches. We just like to get the job done and go home to our families. If the gate is open, we are probably inside working on something. It is a busy life but we enjoy being right here in the city.
