Padma Tupper Ware

You can find us over at the Praveen Venkataramana Apartments, specifically in unit B2. We are located at No. 66-39 on 5th Avenue in Ashok Nagar. It’s a bit different running a business like Padma Tupper Ware from an apartment building, but it works for us. The rooms are mostly filled with plastic containers, lids, and various kitchen sets stacked up in their original packaging. People usually call ahead or just stop by if they are in the neighborhood looking for a specific bowl or a water bottle. It feels more like visiting a neighbor than going to a retail store. We spend a lot of time sorting through stock and checking the latest catalogs to see what’s available. Ashok Nagar is a busy area, but our street stays relatively calm compared to the main roads. Sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze when a new delivery arrives and we have to find space in the spare room for all the boxes. We don’t have a big neon sign out front, so you really have to know where you are going. It’s a straightforward setup where we help folks find long-lasting stuff for their kitchens. Most of our regulars are women from the nearby flats who have been using these products for years. We just keep the inventory organized and handle the sales as they come in. It’s a quiet way to earn a living, surrounded by colorful lids and storage bins.
