Archi Tec Allied

Our office is at No. 1 Masilamani Street in T-Nagar. If you know Chennai, you know T-Nagar is always bustling with people and shops. We’re tucked away on a slightly quieter street, but the noise of the main roads is never far off. Archi Tec Allied is a small outfit. We do architecture and related work, mostly focusing on the practical side of building. Our workspace is full of old files, rolls of drawings, and a few computers that have seen better days. We don’t believe in having a polished, corporate look. We’d rather spend our time on the drawings than on the office decor. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who know us. We spend a lot of time visiting sites, checking on how the walls are coming up or if the plumbing is going in right. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of talking to masons and electricians. T-Nagar can be hot and crowded, but it’s our home. We’ve been on Masilamani Street for a long time now. We see the same faces every morning when we open up. It’s a simple life, really. We take a project, work through the problems, and try to get it finished so the owners can move in. No fancy mission statements, just daily work. We usually have the fan on high and some papers flying around while we try to figure out a tough layout.
