We operate out of 172/22 in the Golden Jubilee Flats on Padi Kuppam Road. Being based in Anna Nagar West gives us a good connection to the local community here. ONG&ONG Designs (India) Pvt Ltd is the name, but inside the office, it’s just a group of us working through piles of blueprints and digital models. It’s a residential-feeling area, which is nice because it keeps us grounded in the kind of spaces people actually live in. Our space is usually cluttered with samples of stone, wood, and metal that we’ve collected over the years. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office because we'd rather focus on the projects. A typical day involves a lot of phone calls to suppliers and long meetings where we try to solve design problems that popped up overnight. We try to be very practical about how we approach things. If a design looks good but is impossible to build, we throw it out and start over. There’s no point in making something that doesn't work for the user. We deal with all sorts of clients, some who know exactly what they want and others who are completely lost. We just try to guide them through the process without making it too overwhelming or using too much technical jargon. It's just about getting the building right and making sure everyone is on the same page during the construction.
