Anjum Arts

You can find Anjum Arts over in Choolai. We are located at No 72/73 in the Sriji Manor Apartments. It’s on the third floor, specifically units 17 and 18. The street is called Maddox Street, and if you’re coming from the main road, we are quite close to the Veterinary College. Choolai is an old part of Chennai with a lot of character. Our space is tucked away in the apartment building, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on the street level. We spend our time here with paints, brushes, and different types of art materials. It’s not a corporate office at all. It feels more like a workshop where things are actually being made. There’s usually a bit of a mess with art supplies everywhere, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working on projects. We teach people who are interested in drawing and painting. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just open up the doors, set up the easels, and get to work. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice in this heat. People from around the neighborhood know we are here. It’s a straightforward operation. We handle everything from the cleaning to the teaching ourselves. It’s a small place, but it’s got everything we need to keep the art classes going every day.
