Our office is in Chennai, down on the ground floor at number 75. It’s in a part of town that stays fairly busy throughout the day. Being on the ground floor means we hear everyone walking past, which can be a bit distracting when we’re trying to focus on tech stuff. We’ve got a few rows of desks with monitors everywhere. Cables are running along the floor under those little plastic covers. The air conditioning is always on because the Chennai heat doesn't really let up, even in the evenings. It’s not the most stylish office you’ll ever see. We have a lot of whiteboards that are covered in scribbles and diagrams that only half of us understand. We drink a lot of coffee from the machine in the back. It’s a bit of a trek to the main road, but there are some good places to eat nearby if you don’t mind a short walk. We don't have a big lobby or a fancy sign out front. Most people just know us by the address. The team is small and we mostly just keep our heads down and get the coding and technical tasks done. It gets a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, so we have to be careful with the door. It’s just a regular workplace with regular people doing their best.
