Jaiveera Engineering

We are based out in the Sidco Womens Industrial Estate in Kattur Village. It’s plot number 34. Thirumullaivoyal is where we spend all our time. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of machines and people moving things around. We do engineering work here, mostly small parts and some bigger stuff when the orders come in. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with scraps and tools laying about, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical space. We don’t have a front office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have the floor where the work gets done. Most of us have been working in this field for a long time, so we just get on with it. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons under the roof, so we take breaks when we can. We deal with other businesses in the estate quite a bit. It’s a community of people just trying to make a living. We don't spend money on fancy signs. People find us because they know we are at this address. We just focus on the metal and the machines and making sure the dimensions are right. It's hard work, but it keeps us busy every day of the week except Sundays. Most mornings start with a quick check of the machines before we get to the actual fabrication.
