Alternative Medicine College

Alternative Medicine College is located on the Poonamalle Highway, right at 26/28 Radhakrishna Nagar in Arumbakkam, Chennai. We are situated right opposite Vaisnava College, and the SBI Officers Colony is nearby too. The highway is always buzzing with traffic, so it’s quite a noisy spot. Our building is an older one, and you can feel the history when you walk inside. We teach different types of medicine that aren't the usual stuff you find in big hospitals. Students come from different parts of Chennai and even further away. The classrooms are simple with fans that hum all day to keep the heat away. It gets very humid here, especially in the afternoons. We have a small office where we handle all the registrations and student queries. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just carry on with the lectures. It’s not a flashy modern campus with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical place for learning. Most of our instructors have been practicing these alternative methods for decades. We have some charts on the walls and old wooden desks. It feels very lived-in. People usually find us because they are looking for something specific in the medical field. It’s just a regular college day for us, with a lot of reading and talk about health and traditional ways. There are always people coming and going, and we try to keep things moving along without too much fuss.
