Down here in Pallikaranai, you’ll find us at Plot No 230 on the 3rd Cross Street. Advantage Strategic Consulting P Ltd has been operating out of this Srinagar Extension spot for some time now. It’s a quiet enough area, which helps when you’re trying to think through problems for clients. We aren’t a big fancy firm with a glass building in the city center. Instead, we’re tucked away in Chennai 600100, just doing our consulting work one day at a time. The street can get a bit narrow, but once you find No 4, you’re there. It’s mostly just us and the computers, looking at charts and trying to make sense of things for the people who hire us. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but we manage. We’ve got a couple of desks and a lot of coffee. People come to us when they need a bit of advice on their business stuff. We don’t do big presentations with lots of buzzwords. We just talk through what needs doing and try to find a way forward. Living and working in Chennai means we’re used to the heat and the rain, and we just keep the office running through it all. It’s a practical setup for what we do. We’ve got a few bookshelves that are overflowing with old guides and folders. We know where everything is. The walk from the main road isn't too long, though it can be a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We just keep the windows shut and get on with the day’s tasks.
