Achivers Graphics is tucked away at 20/4, Jawahar Hussain Khan 1St Street in Royapettah. If you have ever walked down this street, you know it is a busy, narrow place. We have been here for a while now, just doing our thing with design and printing. Our shop is mostly filled with computers and a few machines that seem to run all day long. It is not a corporate office. It is just a room where we sit and work on whatever files people bring us. Sometimes someone comes in with a rough sketch on a scrap of paper, and we have to figure out how to make it look right. The smell of ink is pretty strong most mornings. We do not have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you are usually talking directly to the person who is actually going to do the work. We deal with all kinds of local folks, from shop owners to students. Some days the machines give us trouble, and we spend half the afternoon trying to fix a paper jam. It is just part of the daily routine. We do not bother with fancy advertising or trying to sound like a big agency. We are just a local print and graphics spot. We work late when we have to, and we drink a lot of tea to keep going. It is a simple business, and we like being part of the neighborhood.
