Abirami Bricks

We are set up at 3/48, Anna Nagar, which is quite close to the Tax Office. Being near a government building means there are always people moving around the area. Abirami Bricks is a small operation, mostly run by a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. The yard where we keep the bricks isn’t very large, but we keep it packed. We have to be careful with how we stack things to make sure there’s enough room for the transport vehicles to turn around. The office is just a basic room where we keep our books and take phone calls. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic from Anna Nagar, but we don't mind it much. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and talking to the masonry crews who come to pick up supplies. We don't have any slick marketing or big signs. People just know where we are. Dealing with the heat is part of the daily routine here. We keep a big jar of cold water in the shade for whoever needs it. It’s a simple business without any complicated rules. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. There’s an old tree near the corner that provides a bit of a breeze. We have a small bench where the drivers sit and wait for their trucks to be loaded. It’s not a fast process, but we try not to keep anyone waiting. It’s a busy enough spot for what we need.
