Abhi Import & Exports

Our office is over on Mahalakshmi Street, at number 17, right in the heart of T Nagar. It’s a lively part of town, so there is always noise from the shops and the people walking by outside. Abhi Import & Exports has been here for a while now, handling all sorts of goods coming in and going out. The space is a bit small for all the paperwork and samples we keep, but we make it work. Often, the desks are covered in shipping documents and coffee cups. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to vendors or checking on where a container might be. T Nagar traffic can be a nightmare for deliveries, so we’ve learned to plan everything around the busiest times of the day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes we have to stay late to deal with time zones or just to finish up the day’s logs before we head home. We aren aren't a huge corporation with departments for everything. Usually, whoever is closest to the phone picks it up. We like being in this part of Chennai because everything we need is within walking distance. It’s a practical location for a business like ours. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nothing gets stuck at the port for too long without someone noticing.
