Morning Star Higher Secondary School Indira Nagar Ratlam

We are situated on the ECR Main Road in Kudapakkam, which is over in Kanchipuram. Even though the name mentions Ratlam, this is where our building stands in Tamil Nadu. Being right on the Main Road means there is always traffic going by, but once you get inside the gates, it feels a bit more contained. The school serves the higher secondary students, so the work is a bit more serious than in the lower grades. We have science labs that are functional and classrooms that stay busy from morning until late afternoon. The desks are sturdy and there is a lot of paper moving around as we prepare for the state exams. It’s a plain building with a lot of history in the walls. We don't have a lot of fancy landscaping, just the space we need for the students to walk between classes. The staff spends their time grading papers and trying to keep the library organized, though the books always seem to end up in the wrong spots. We deal with the humidity and the rain just like everyone else in this part of the country. It’s a very normal school experience without any bells and whistles. We have a set schedule and we try to stick to it as best as we can. It’s a place for students who are looking to finish their schooling and move on to college or work soon. We just take it one day at a time here in the school.
