Wedding Colours

Our shop is at SCF 7/8 in Sector 19 Shanthinagar. It’s a place full of different fabrics, ribbons, and bits of decoration. We spend a lot of time looking at color samples and trying to figure out how to make things look decent for people's big days. It gets very busy during the wedding season, and the floor is usually covered in scraps of cloth and thread. We have a couple of sewing machines that run for most of the day. Sometimes people come in with very specific ideas, and we have to see if we can actually do it with what we have in stock. The lighting in the shop isn't great, but it works for us. We keep a lot of our supplies in the back room, which is a bit of a mess if I’m honest. It’s hard to stay organized when you have five different things going on at once. We talk to a lot of families, and sometimes they are quite stressed, so we just listen and try to get the decorations ready. It’s not a corporate setup; it’s just us working with what we’ve got. We drink a lot of tea while we work on the orders. We have a lot of old catalogs that people look through, though half the pages are torn now. It is just the way we do things here in Shanthinagar.
