Simran Catering & Tent Palace

You can find us near the Samadhi Gate in Manimajra, at 291/4. Simran Catering & Tent Palace is a bit of a mix. We have the kitchen side of things and then all the tent gear stored nearby. It gets pretty loud and hot in the back when we’re prepping for a big function. There’s always the smell of spices in the air and the sound of large pots being moved around. It’s a family-style operation, really. We don't have a big front-of-house team. Mostly, you’ll just see us busy with the cooking or loading up the van. The tent side of the business is just as hectic. We’ve got stacks of colorful fabric and wooden frames that have seen many celebrations. Manimajra is a tight-knit place, and we’ve been working out of this spot for a long time. We don't use fancy terms for our food. It’s just the stuff we know how to cook well. Sometimes a delivery is late because of the traffic at the gate, which is just part of living here. We don't have a polished website or anything like that. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. It’s a lot of long hours, but we’re used to it by now and we enjoy the bustle of it all. There is always something that needs doing before the next event starts.
