Universal Tent House

Universal Tent House is located over in Sector 45, though we spend a lot of time moving things around Sector 22 C 42 as well. Running a tent business is mostly about lifting heavy stuff and making sure everything is where it needs to be before a party starts. We have piles of fabric, metal poles, and chairs stacked up in our storage area. It gets really dusty when we are packing things into the trucks. We have been doing this for years, so we know how to handle the sudden rain or wind that tries to blow the setups down. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on us in the middle of summer. We usually have a crew of guys who have been with us for a long time and they know exactly how to pull the ropes tight. Sometimes people come to us at the last minute because they forgot they needed extra seating or a canopy for an outdoor lunch. We just do what we can with what we have in the warehouse. Sector 45 is where we keep the main stock, but the work takes us all over the city. It is not glamorous work at all, mostly just sweating and moving heavy crates. But it is what we know and we have been at it long enough that we don’t really think twice about the long hours or the sore backs. We stay busy and just get on with the job.
