The Legends

Phase III isn't the busiest part of town, but that’s where we are, specifically at 1721B/2. The building itself is older and has its quirks, like the way the lights flicker for a second when you first flip the switch. We call the place The Legends, though it’s just a name and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Inside, it’s mostly open space with some old furniture we’ve picked up over the years. We spend a lot of our time just keeping the place clean and waiting for the afternoon rush. It’s mostly locals who know us by name and stop by to see what’s going on. There’s a small crack in the front window that’s been there since last winter, but it hasn't caused any real trouble yet. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back room where we take our breaks. Sometimes we just sit there and listen to the traffic on the main road a few blocks over. It’s a simple life, honestly. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just providing a spot for people in this part of the neighborhood. The floors are concrete and can get a bit cold in the mornings, so we usually wear thick socks. We keep an old calendar on the wall that is two months behind, mostly because nobody remembers to flip the page. Little things like that don't seem to matter much to us as long as the work gets handled.
