The Design Place

You can find us on the second floor of SCO-44 in Sector 41 D. It’s a bit of a trek up the stairs, but the light is better up here. We have a few desks with computers and a lot of paper scraps lying around. We spend a lot of time just drawing things or looking at colors. It isn't a very formal place. We usually have some music playing in the background while we work. Some days we just sit and talk about how a layout should look. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone answering phones in a suit. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up to see who it is. We’ve been in this sector for a while now and we like the local market nearby for lunch. It’s a practical workspace. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy furniture. We just care about getting the lines right on the screen. Sometimes we get stuck on a project and have to go for a walk outside to clear our heads. The fans hum all day and it gets a bit warm in the afternoons. We just keep working until the job is finished. It’s just what we do every day. There’s no big secret to it, just sitting at the desk and putting in the hours. We like it this way. It is a quiet life for the most part. Sometimes the rain hits the windows hard and we just keep drawing. It is a good place to be.
