Snap22

You can find us at Shop Number 2, right on the Chandigarh Ambala National Highway in Zirakpur. We’re really close to the Parmar Petrol Pump, which makes it easy to give directions. Snap22 is basically a small photography spot where we handle all sorts of camera work. Since we’re on the highway, we see a lot of people passing through, but most of our regulars are local folks from Zirakpur and nearby Chandigarh. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded when we have all the lights and backdrops set up. We usually have a lot of prints hanging around or drying. It’s not a fancy studio with a reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the camera or the computer. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to close the door tight just to hear each other. We spend a lot of time editing and looking at screens until our eyes get tired. It’s a lot of sitting in one spot, then a lot of standing up when someone comes in for a photo. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to work the equipment. We started this because we liked taking pictures and it just turned into a job over time. It’s a practical way to make a living and we get to meet a lot of different people from the neighborhood every single week.
