Shiv Ganga Band

We have been running Shiv Ganga Band for quite some time now out of Sector-18 in Panchkula. Our place is right on the Main Road, near the Housing Board buildings. Most of the time, we are busy with weddings or local festivals. It’s not just Panchkula where we work, we actually go over to Chandigarh quite a bit too. Being a band means we are always on the move. We have the uniforms and the instruments, and we just gather up whenever there’s a booking. It’s a noisy life but it’s a good one. People come to us when they have a big day and need music that everyone can hear. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us musicians who know how to play together. The office in Sector-18 is where we keep all the drums and brass instruments. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when three or four events happen at the same time, but we somehow make it work. We’ve seen many families celebrate over the years. It’s honest work, and we stay busy. Living and working around the Main Road keeps us connected to what's happening in the city. If you're ever near the Housing Board area, that's where you'll find us getting ready for the next march. We just keep playing and moving from one street to the next, making sure the rhythm is right for the celebration.
