Saini Sweets

If you head down to Gandhi Bazar in Kharar, you’ll find Saini Sweets right in the middle of all the noise. Mohali is always changing, but this part of the market feels like it’s been the same for years. We started this place because we wanted a shop that felt like home. It’s usually quite crowded around here, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their groceries. Our shop is small and the space gets tight when more than five people come in at once, but we make it work. We spend our mornings prepping the milk and frying up snacks. You can usually smell what we’re cooking from the street. We don't have a big corporate office or a marketing team. It’s just us and a couple of helpers. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming here since they were kids. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, like when it’s too hot in the kitchen, but we keep the stove going anyway. We just want to make sure the people in Kharar have a reliable place to pick up some sweets on their way home. It’s a simple life here in Gandhi Bazar. We open early, we close late, and we try to do a decent job every single day. There’s always something to do, whether it’s cleaning the counters or checking the stock. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
